In Argentina, where abortion is prohibited, a woman dies every week as a result of an illegal abortion. For eight weeks, the project was fiercely discussed in the Senate, but also in the streets, where tens of thousands of activists demonstrated to defend this fundamental right. Argentinian feminists and their extraordinary mobilization have raised hopes for a law that legalizes abortion.
